Booster Club

The White Bear Lake Area Hockey Association (WBLAHA) Booster Club formed during the 1999 - 2000 hockey season.  One of our goals is to try and maintain a reasonable registration fee for each White Bear Lake Hockey player.  With your help we have succeeded by raising money at the Fall Booster Bash and filling the concession stands with workers.  The revenue made has helped pay for repairs to the arenas and the increased ice fees thus, not having to raise registration fees to cover these costs.  To all that have fulfilled your concession stand hours and attended the Fall Booster Bash ...... For the new families joining WBLAHA, WELCOME.  For the existing families and new families, the number of volunteer hours required for the 2008 – 2009 season is as follows:
Each family Mites on up will be required to work 6 concession stand hours per player, i.e., 1 player 6 hours, 2 players 12 hours, 3 players 18 hours, etc.  The hours can be worked in either concession stand (Sports Center or Hipp).  Clinic families are required to work 1 hour to be filled at the Hipp during designated time slots on calendar.

Each team (Mite through Jr. Gold) will assign a Booster Representative to track their team’s concession stand hours.  To promote that each team fulfill their concession stand hours, they will be assessed a $500.00 fee from the association at the beginning of the season.  If all of the team’s concession stand hours are fulfilled the $500 will be returned to the team.  If all of the team’s concession stand hours are NOT fulfilled, the $500 will not be returned.  Due to the $500 being assessed to the team instead of each family, the team will have the flexibility to manage their hours and distribute the monies, should there be a refund, as they see fit.
