Types of Goalie Training
On Ice Goalie Clinics:
Zach Sikich and his staff train goalies in a clinic setting using no more than a 3:1 goalie to coach ratio. The clinics are progressive in terms that they build on each other throughout the year. These sessions are a great way for all the goalies to get together and learn the ProHybrid Goaltending System.
Off Ice Goalie Specific Training:
These training sessions are used to introduce new goalie specific off ice techniques to improve a goalies':
- Conditioning
- Hand/Eye Coordination
- Agility
- Power
- Core Strength
- Flexibility
Supplemental Goalie Consulting at Practice:
Goalies/Teams have the option to hire Zach or a lead ProHybrid instructor to consult with their team during regular practice times. This supplemental training is an ideal option for busy parents that want extra training without having to drive to another practice or ice time. Ideally the first 30 minutes will be devoted to a ProHybrid instructor working with the goaltenders. Additionally, the ProHybrid instructor will give the coach tips on how to make the drills more beneficial for the goalies.
Consulting can be split by 2 goalies or 1 goalie on the team can choose to have the consultant while the other doesn't. In most cases both goalies participate in the training and the team may have a small stipend to contribute towards the extra cost. All consulting sessions will be 1 hour. If the goalies request the instructor for a session over an hour the additional rate will be $50 per hour. Example: For a 1.5 hour practice the instructor will stay on the ice for the first hour then depart unless full practice is requested. After all practices, the consultant will email the main points of the session to both the goalies as well as the coaching staff for accountability and documentation.
Consulting Packages:
- Regular Package: $100 per session
- Silver Package-: 5 Sessions @ $90 per session
- Gold Package: 10 Sessions @ $85 per session
- Platinum Package: 15+ Sessions @ $80 per session
Parent Workshops:
Zach Sikich will run a session with parents to demonstrate and explain how the ProHybrid Goaltending System will benefit their goalies. This session will cover:
- Overview of ProHybrid System
- Consistent 2-way communication
- Psychology of Goaltending
Goalie Coaching for Coaches Clinics:
Zach Sikich and his instructors will educate and train the White Bear Lake coaches using the ProHybrid Goaltending System. Focusing on:
- On ice and Off ice drills
- Proper technique
- How to make drills more "goalie friendly"
- Psychology of goaltending
- And much more...
Classroom Psychology Sessions:
Zach Sikich will go in depth on various goaltending psychology topics including:
- Reframing
- Core belief system
- Managing levels of interference
- And more...
Intro to Goaltending Clinics:
Zach and his ProHybrid instructors will put on an on ice clinic for all mite players interested in becoming a goalie. This clinic will serve as a great resource to make goaltending a desired position within the association. Before the session an in locker room seminar to the parents and goalies will be given. Topics discussed will include:
- How to put on goalie gear
- Goaltending psychology
- Sharing stories from Zach Sikich's career to inspire young goalies to be excited about the position
