Dryland Coaches meeting

 

When:  October 20th, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm

 

Where:   WBLAHA dryland center 

 

Who should attend?   At least one coach from each team.

 

What will be covered?  Acceleration north will provide an overview or the training tools and goals for November, as well as the off ice training program for the entire season. 

 

How will teams get access to the center?:   Through their designated team times, or by signing up for additional times through the directions on the Dryland center tab,www.wblhockey.com

 

When will I get a key for the center?   On October 20th, the keys will be handed out once a signed copy of the Dryland Center agreement is returned.

 

If I miss the meeting, can I still pick up a key?  No.  You will need to wait until the next monthly meeting.

 

How many keys will be given out per team?  Only 1 key per team

Goalie Coaching for Coaches Clinic: Oct 26 & Nov 16

w/ Zach Sikich: Founder, ProHybrid Training

The #1 resource for our goalies in the White Bear Lake Association is their team coaching staff. They see our goalies more than anyone.  The key to our goalies' improvement will be for our team coaches to send the same consistent positive message to our goalies as they receive from ProHybrid.  In order to maximize the overall benefit of our goalie development, Zach Sikich (Founder, ProHybrid Training) will be holding a goalie coaching for coaches clinic on both Oct 26 and Nov 16.  The second meeting will build off the knowledge and skills learned in the first session.  Here are the details:

Goalie Coaching for Coaches Clinic

  • October 26
    • Classroom Seminar: 600-700 pm
      • RM# 206 of School District Offices, adjacent to the Hippodrome
      • Goaltending Vocabulary
      • Goaltending Psychology: Creating a Proactive
      • Review of ProHybrid DVD Volume 1
      • Bring Notebook, Pen and any questions you may have about goaltending
      • Passing out Laminated Sheet of Goalie Drills
    • On Ice Session: 735-835 pm
      • Hippodrome
      • On Ice Demo of Drills
      • Instruction as to how to demonstrate specific goaltending techniques
      • Bring skates, helmet, stick and gloves
  • November 16
    • Classroom Seminar: 715-815 pm
      • RM # 201 of the School District Offices, adjacent to the Hippodrome
      • Goaltending Vocabulary Review
      • Goaltending Psychology: Cognitive Behavior Theory
      • Review of ProHybrid DVD Volume 2
      • Bring Notebook, Pen and any questions you may have about goaltending
    • On Ice Session: 840-940 pm
      • Hippodrome
      • On Ice Demo of Drills
      • Instruction as to how to demonstrate specific goaltending techniques
      • Bring skates, helmet, stick and gloves
