Five WBLAHA Teams Going to State!
MSBN to provide LIVE video coverage!
Now that the State High School Hockey Tournaments have come to and end, this is an exciting time for White Bear Lake Hockey. Five of our youth teams will be playing for the opportunity to be crowned State Champions over this upcoming weekend:
Junior Gold A
Junior Gold B
Bantam AA
U19
U12 A
Most of the games are relatively nearby, so please consider attending a game or two to show your support:
- Junior Gold A will be taking on Minnetonka on Friday, March 15 at 8 pm in Plymouth
- Junior Gold B will be going against Woodbury on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 pm in Plymouth
- Bantam AA will be up against Edina on Friday, March 15 at 6:30 pm in Edina
- U19 team will be playing Blaine on Friday, March 15 at 6:45pm at the Eden Prairie Communitey Center Rink 3.
- U12 A team will be playing Brainerd on Friday, March 15 at 6 pm in Breezy Point
Good luck to all of the teams above. To celebrate their achievement of making it to state, the U12 A team also put together a Harlem Shake to State video that you can view.

For the sixth year in a row, the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network is teaming up with Minnesota Hockey to video broadcast our state hockey tournaments on March 15-17 from various sites across the state of Minnesota. Fans will be able to follow the games live on MSBN’s website, www.MNSportsNetwork.com.
“MSBN is very excited to once again be able to bring extensive coverage of these great Minnesota Hockey state tournaments this year,” said Nick Walsh, Director of Operations for the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network. “We know the passion for the sport of hockey in Minnesota is unparalleled, from the college and professional hockey down to the youth and high school ranks. To be able to bring these tournaments to fans interested in the next generation of hockey in Minnesota is a great opportunity for MSBN, Minnesota Hockey, and most importantly the fans of this great game.”
MSBN will provide live video coverage of the quarterfinals, semifinals, third place games and championship games of the following state tournaments:
- Junior Gold A (Wayzata)
- Bantam AA (Edina)
- Bantam A (Buffalo)
- Peewee AA (Edina)
- Peewee A (Faribault)
- 14U A (New Hope)
- 12U A (Pequot Lakes)
In addition, MSBN will broadcast the championship games of the Junior Gold B & 16U state tournaments from Plymouth. A total of 58 games will be broadcast this season under the agreement between MSBN and Minnesota Hockey, up from 37 games in 2012. New this year, MSBN will also be providing participants with the ability to purchase DVD’s of the tournament games. The DVD’s will be on sale at each site for a cost of $15 and will mailed out following the tournament.
