2015 WBLAHA Board Elections set

Voting to take place at May 13, 2015 Annual Meeting.

The following Board positions are up for election in 2015:
 
President-3 year term
Secretary-3 year term
Player Development-3 year term
 
Any member of the WBLAHA can be nominated and run for an elected position.  Elections will be held on May 13, 2015 at the Annual Meeting.  Nominations must be submitted to the Secretary of the Association at secretary@wblhockey.com no later than thirty (30) days prior (April 13, 2015) to the Annual Meeting.

Since its beginning in 1968, the White Bear Lake Area Hockey Association has relied on countless volunteers to become one of the greatest associations in the state. 

The association cannot run without volunteers.  More volunteers means less work for everyone!

YOU can be part of the tradition! 

 

Board Positions Up for Election

  • President
  • Secretary
  • Player Development Director
  • Girls Director (2 years remaining of term)
  • Mite Director (1 year remaining of term)

Members of the Board are elected at the annual meeting to serve a 3 year term.  Position descriptions and duties can be found in the WBLAHA Bylaws beginning on page 22.

Open Volunteer Positions

  • Registrar - Registers and rosters all players and coaches to USA Hockey approved teams.  
  • Tournament Director - Organizes and oversees all WBLAHA Tournaments.  Individual tournaments are hosted and run by parent volunteers from hosting WBL team(s).
  • Concessions Manager - Oversees the Hippodrome and WBSC Concession Stands.  
  • Safesport Coordinator - Ensures all Coaches, Locker Room Monitors, Managers and Volunteers have completed Safesport Training.
  • Coach Coordinator - Ensures all Coaches have completed WBLAHA and USA Hockey Registraions, CEP Certification, Age Level Modules, Safesport Training and Background Screening.  Answers questions from coaches about rules and regulations.
  • Sponsorship Coordinator - Contacts and recruits sponsors for the Association.

Positions can be filled by an individual, partnership or committee. Volunteer positions are appointed and approved by the Board.
